Compliance has become an integral part of the day-to-day procedures and processes of a modern, international company. The word “compliance” in this context describes the alignment of all business and in-house operations in accordance with legal requirements and generally applicable standards of conduct.

The basis of the compliance system used by the Apleona Wolfferts GmbH Group comprises the code of conduct, which applies throughout the Apleona Group and describes the general principles of our actions, and the associated Group guidelines, which contain specific instructions regarding the three central elements: integrity, competition and our dealings with third parties.

Our management team expressly supports these rules and obliges all employees to act in accordance with them. Transgressions or breaches of these rules are neither tolerated nor accepted.

Certified Apleona compliance system 

Apleona was the first real estate company in Germany to have its compliance system certified by Initiative Corporate Governance der Deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft.

In an intensive audit of the management team, the compliance officer and our sales and purchasing organisation in spring 2010, the Konstanz-based Institute for Intercultural Management, Values and Communication headed by Professor Josef Wieland judged Apleona’s compliance system to be a functioning system in accordance with the requirements of Initiative Corporate Governance der Deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft.

It was explicitly confirmed that our company has implemented a values management system compliant with Section 7.7 of the statute issued by Initiative der Corporate Governance der Deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft e.V.

As a result, Apleona Wolfferts GmbH is entitled to use this certificate to promote itself.
